We comply with the Personal Data Protection Act (and its amendments) of Singapore (“PDPA 2012”) and, where applicable, international privacy laws. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and disclose your Personal Data when you access our website, use our services, or interact with us.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

    By visiting our website or using our services, you accept and consent to the practices described in this policy.<\/p>\r\n

        1. Collection of Personal Data. <\/strong>We may collect and process the following data about you:<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

          • Information you give us:<\/strong>\u00a0You may give us information about you by filling in forms on our site (by corresponding with us by phone, email, or otherwise, or by engaging us for Services.                 • Conflict Checks and Due Diligence:<\/strong> To conduct conflict of interest checks and internal due diligence as required by our risk management policies, including screening against international sanctions lists and verifying client identity to prevent financial crime.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

                  • Communication:<\/strong>\u00a0To provide you with information, products, and services that you request from us, or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.<\/li>\r\n
                  • Site Improvement:<\/strong>\u00a0To ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.<\/li>\r\n
                  • Security:<\/strong>\u00a0To protect our platforms and services from fraud and unauthorized access.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

                      • Strategic Partners:<\/strong>\u00a0Selected third parties including business partners, suppliers, and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with them or you (e.g., courier services, cloud hosting providers).<\/li>\r\n
                      • Regulatory Authorities:<\/strong>\u00a0The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) and other competent authorities where we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation.<\/li>\r\n
                      • Professional Advisors:<\/strong>\u00a0Our auditors, insurers, external legal advisors, and bankers, but only to the extent necessary for them to provide their professional services to Accolade (e.g., for internal and financial audits, insurance claims, or banking compliance).<\/li>\r\n
                      • International Transfers: <\/strong>Where we transfer your Personal Data outside of Singapore (e.g., to our headquarters in Hong Kong or cloud servers overseas), we will ensure that the recipient provides a standard of protection to such Personal Data that is comparable to the protection under the PDPA 2012.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

                        1. Consent<\/strong>. By providing your Personal Data to us, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of that data as set out in this Privacy Policy.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

                          • Direct Marketing:<\/strong>\u00a0We will strictly adhere to the requirements of the PDPA 2012 regarding direct marketing. We will only use your personal data for direct marketing (e.g., newsletters about IP law changes, trademark maintenance and renewal deadlines) if we have obtained your consent or indication of no objection. You have the right to opt-out of such marketing at any time.<\/li>\r\n
                          • Withdrawal of Consent:<\/strong>\u00a0You may withdraw your consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal data at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer. Please note that if you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to continue providing you with our Services.<\/li>\r\n
                          • Deemed Consent: <\/strong>Under the PDPA 2012, you are deemed to have consented to the collection, use, or disclosure of your Personal Data if you voluntarily provide such data to us for a specific purpose (e.g., submitting a trademark application form) and it is reasonable that you would voluntarily provide the data.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

                            1. Disclosure of Personal Data. <\/strong>We strictly limit the disclosure of your Personal Data. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your Personal Data to outside parties for their independent marketing purposes. Disclosures are strictly limited to those necessary for the provision of our Services or compliance with the law.<\/li>\r\n
                            2. Security of Personal Data. <\/strong>We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

                              • Data Breach Notification: <\/strong>In the event of a data breach that results in, or is likely to result in, significant harm to affected individuals, or affects a significant number of individuals, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) and the affected individuals as required by the PDPA 2012.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

Retention of Personal Data.<\/strong>We will only retain your Personal Data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Data provided for unsuccessful service applications will be destroyed within a reasonable timeframe unless you consent to its retention for future opportunities.<\/li>\r\n
                                2. Your Rights.<\/strong>Under the PDPA 2012, you have the right to:<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

                                  • Check whether we hold Personal Data about you and to access such data (Access Request).<\/li>\r\n
                                  • Require us to correct any Personal Data relating to you which is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or outdated (Correction Request).<\/li>\r\n
                                  • Ascertain our policies and practices in relation to Personal Data.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

                                    To exercise these rights, please contact our Data Protection Officer. We may charge a reasonable fee for the processing of any data access request.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

                                    • In accordance with the PDPA 2012 (Amendment 2020), you may also have the right to request the porting of your Personal Data to another service provider in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, subject to the technical feasibility and regulations issued by the PDPC.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n
